For sale here is arguably the last of the great MacBook Pro's, the last model that is upgradable (Battery, hard drive, memory), and with speed tests showing it hardly any slower than a 2017 model with similar specs. It has been very well upgraded with a brand new 1TB SSD and 16GB of memory. The DVD drive has been replaced with the original 1TB hard drive for extra storage, but if you need to use a DVD, any USB one will work fine.   This was the highest possible spec and a rare bought to order model. The processor is a 2.7GHz Intel Core i7 (Turbo boost up to 3.7GHz) with more L3 cache, and is has the higher resolution 'anti-glare' display. This model would have set you back around £600 more than the base model at the time. Very powerful and fast, booting up in around 17 seconds and apps loading almost instantly. Battery is still very good with a low cycle count of just 179. These can handle 1000+, but are also easily replaceable if you need to at some point in the future. The machine is in perfect working order with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and iSight camera all functioning with no issues at all. The keyboard works fine. The matte hi-res LED back-lit screen looks great with no dead pixels, giving a resolution of 1680 x 1050. It is supported by dual graphics chips which are a 1GB GeForce 650M (Double the size of the base model) and an Intel HD 4000. There are 2x USB3 ports, Thunderbolt, Firewire 800, Ethernet and an SD card slot. This is a great example of a very nice and fast MacBook pro. In good condition but has a little dink in the lid and a few scratches (See pics). Overall the machine is nice and tidy and I’d class as B/B-. Inside the new drive has been formatted and a clean copy of Mac OS Catalina installed along with Office. Comes with an genuine Apple charger.
