As blue as a kingfisher, this Renault Scenic passed its MOT yesterday (22nd March) after having 2 new tyres, a bulb, a rod end ball joint and a suspension arm ball joint.
I have a theatre company and the storage space in this car is unbelievable. I transported a massive set in it recently and when the rear seats are down it is as big as a van.
I was touring in York last week and got 38.1mpg on the motorway. For such a solid car, petrol consumption is very good and its heavy base gives you a feeling of great safety. Insurance is also low.
I live a few miles out of Douglas in South Lanarkshire just an hour out of Glasgow. I have just returned from Motherwell where it had for a full valet.
It has a huge, clear digital dashboard display; electric windows at the front and has a cable for a dash cam. The windscreen goes for miles; is huge and clear and gives a veritable panoramic view of the countryside.
The driver's front window needs a new regulator. The garage is trying to find me one, but it is a small local garage and he works to his own deadline if you know what I mean. However, I will have this repaired if he can find one in turn, although it never bothered me to open the door at drive throughs 😂
There is a small patch of laquer coming off on the bonnet and a small dent on the passenger side rear arch. Other than that, it has been well maintained and the engine is faultless. The garage called it a 'bloody good car' and it's not often I've heard that.
The ABS sensor is on, but there is no issue with it and it always says 'change card battery' even when I just have, so it's clearly just a minor fault.
A new pair of windscreen wipers will come with the car and there is a very handy storage cupboard under the passenger seat for a map; make-up; a jumper, etc.
You are welcome to view at any time, but I will operate on a first come first served basis as have previously been let down. I have the V5 and will keep it taxed until you get home.
This will make a great family car; is ideal if you have large dogs; or if you want a car that has as much space as a van.
Any questions, please ask and I will update with information as it changes.
