Sideboard buffet

Free local delivery mob 07979511213 Beautiful 1940 sideboard, made by Validity furniture London . Unfortunately there was a lot of damage to all the wood, scuffs , dings, gauges and water damage , however inside the cupboards and drawers were perfectly preserved , apart from one draw side that I sanded and filled . I managed to keep some of the oak frame showing . All original hardware. The piece was cleaned ,sanded and primed, the top was painted in Dixie bell whitecap and redesign with prima beautiful furniture transfers applied . The front draws were painted and stencil to create a soft look. The front doors have a raised stencil on in floral Art Deco style then painted as well as the fronts of the base .The wood carvings have been highlighted with blues and white paint and high lighted in gold wax . The sides are a rich blue with a subtle raised stencil in the middle , with each corner of the sides having a layered white and gold stencil rose. .The piece has been sealed with several layers of poly statin Varnish , the sides varnish was tinted to give a pearl shimmer . The shell type feet also have a soft iridescent glow . The entire piece inside has been refreshed with orange wax , the top draw is devised into 3 sections . It is a statement piece , but practical as lots of storage . It’s one of a kind unique . All draws run smoothly. I have restored to high standard but it’s an old piece so there is the odd sign of it’s it’s age but nothing that distracts from its glory . Message for further photos only allowed 10 on Etsy .
